Back In Hospital

Kayla has been steadily losing weight and the doctors were mystified yet determined. Well last Tuesday it all came to a head. Kayla's pain was at an all time high and then stopped. She developed some rather nasty symptoms (an I mean nasty). It transpires that an abscess within her pelvis had caused a fistula to develop between her small bowel and the pelvic cavity. The result is partly digested food exiting from somewhere that you really would not expect food! The acids in this food wreak havoc on the tender flesh. Kayla said that it was the worst pain that she has ever experienced. She is back in the Marsden and will be there for 6 - 8 weeks! She is nil by mouth and can only use water to take her tablets and wet her mouth! NOT HAPPY! At this time surgery is not an option as Kayla is too weak, thin and malnourished. So chapter in this sorry tale opens with Chapter's 1 through 3 (Cancer, intestinal failure and pancreatic dysfunction) still ongoing.

When will this woman get closure.................... even closure of just 1 problem would be a refreshing change!
